Custom Artwork Commissions Inspired by Your Story

Some of the most meaningful paintings begin with a story—a bottle opened on an anniversary, a vintage connected to a family memory, a favorite cocktail, or a place where people gather.

Through custom artwork commissions, I transform those memories into original paintings created specifically for you and your space.

Every commission is developed directly with me, from our first conversation through composition, progress updates, finishing, and insured delivery.

Why Collectors Commission Monica Fine Art

Commissioning original art is more than ordering a painting—it is a collaboration. You bring the story, and I bring the artistic vision and craft to create something that could not exist for anyone else.

Collectors commission Monica Fine Art because:

  • A meaningful bottle, vintage, cocktail, celebration, or place becomes part of the artwork.
  • The composition is designed for the room where the painting will live.
  • You collaborate directly with me throughout the creative process.
  • The finished painting becomes an original work created around your story.

If you’ve ever wished a painting could capture that moment – a particular evening, bottle, or companion – a custom commission is the way to go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Timing depends on the painting’s size, complexity, and my current studio schedule. After we discuss your project, I will provide an estimated completion date before you commit.

For Christmas delivery, I begin scheduling custom artwork commissions in October to make sure everything arrives on time. I’ll always provide an upfront estimate and keep you updated as we go. If you need a rush order, please mention it—I can sometimes accommodate faster timelines.

To initiate the creation of your painting, I typically request a 20% down payment after we have agreed on the composition and dimensions. This good faith payment secures your slot and allows me to start sourcing materials with confidence. My experience has shown that this process works smoothly, but I am open to discussion if you have any concerns or special circumstances.

Shipping within the United States and Canada is conveniently included in the purchase price of your custom artwork commission painting. For international destinations, I’m happy to share the shipping costs with you, and I’ll outline everything clearly in your proposal.

Because your artwork’s safe arrival is my priority, I ship with insurance for added peace of mind. I primarily use FedEx and USPS, but I’m happy to discuss special requests so your painting arrives exactly as you need it to.

My approach to creating your custom artwork commission painting is highly collaborative and communicative, aimed at understanding and capturing your vision from the outset. While I don’t have a formal revision policy, I ensure regular updates and discussions throughout the process to align with your expectations.

There is a designated point in the creation process beyond which changes can no longer be made, and I will inform you well in advance when we reach this cut-off for alterations. My goal is always to deliver a piece that meets your satisfaction without the need for subsequent revisions.

My custom artwork commissions focus primarily on wine, whiskey, cocktails, champagne, and other meaningful beverages. A painting can also incorporate glassware, cigars, landscapes, architectural details, initials, dates, or a setting connected to your story. I generally do not accept traditional human portrait commissions.
