Portrait of Robin Williams, a figurative realist painting series called “Icons” that celebrates incredible people on this Earth – from everyday heroes to cultural icons. The collection examines those who inspire us to feel, and to think about life. I truly feel the sadness in Robin’s eyes and that moved me to paint his portrait. This painting is a black and white portrait with only the background and eyes having color.

Original Painting Size: 24×36 IN
Medium: Hybrid Fluid Realism (Oil & Acrylic)
This is a strong composition Fish painting that uses an acrylic pour technique for the water and fins, and traditional oils for the fish bodies and face. A friend posted a picture and I loved the striking contrast, and composition. He gave me permission to paint it and I put my voice into the painting, using oils and pouring on this large piece.
One of the things I really liked is how there are different kinds of fish in this social shoal. It’s always better to go from darkness to light when you have friends to make the journey with. Upon closer inspection, there is a lot of metallic silver and gold that glimmer in different viewing angles.

Special Occasion is champagne celebration art for people who mark life’s milestones with bubbles and joy. The painting comes from a personal moment: right after Monica’s brother proposed, the sparkling wine was opened and the first two glasses were poured. She saw the glow in the flutes, the dark bottle behind them, and knew it was a scene worth keeping. The resulting artwork captures that pause between the question and the first toast. Painted in her Hybrid Fluid Realism, it turns a single engagement into a symbol for all special occasions—engagements, anniversaries, promotions, and every “we did it” worth celebrating.

Fine Art Original Oil Painting of a classic car, a forgotten relic that is unrestored by Monica Marquez Gatica (MMG Art Studio) a Colorado Oil Painter. This is a part of a series called “Forgotten Classic Cars” and depicts an iconic vintage Chevy model car. Although antique, it’s an abandoned and rusty that has seen better days. Seeing it abandoned seems sad and beautiful at the same time. Beautiful in reflection is the harmonious relationship between old cars being either restored or reclaimed. Eventually, what comes of the earth, goes back
