Intimate Pours: A Study in Perspective

Intimate Pours: A Study in Perspective

Top view wine art changes the way we experience a glass.

Instead of seeing wine, cocktails, or spirits from across the table, Intimate Pours looks from above. This perspective reveals the movement, texture, and quiet beauty that often disappear in the moment itself.

Winter is always a season of deep focus in the studio. This past winter, my time centered on commissions, each one created with its own story and connection to the collector. However, as winter began to fade, I felt drawn toward something more instinctive.

Not a single painting. Not a commission. But a concept.

A study in perspective.

A Shift Toward Top View Wine Art

As spring approached, I found myself thinking about the moments that inspire my work—not just the glass, not just the wine or spirits—but the experience surrounding it.

The quiet pause before the first sip.
The subtle movement after the pour.
The details we rarely stop to notice.

And I began to ask myself:

What if those moments were seen from a completely different perspective?

Not across the table.
Not at eye level.

But from above.

The View We Rarely See in Wine Art

There’s something unexpectedly intimate about looking down into a glass.

From this perspective, everything changes.

The way light moves through the liquid.
The textures that form naturally, almost by accident.
The quiet details that are often overlooked in the moment itself.

What started as an idea quickly became a series of explorations—each one capturing a different expression of that experience. Not planned. Not replicated. Simply created in motion.

Each piece became a moment.

One Wine Art Series, One Complete Experience

I created this body of work to stay together.

I never intended these paintings to stand alone, but rather as a complete visual story—one that unfolds when experienced together.

Each canvas holds a fragment of the ritual.
Together, they become the ritual itself.

Intimate Pours: Top View Wine Art in Motion

“Intimate Pours: A Study in Perspective” is a reflection of the moments that exist in between—the ones that often pass unnoticed, yet hold so much meaning.

I created each piece using my Hybrid Fluid Realism technique, each composition is formed through movement, flow, and instinct. Because of this, no piece can ever be recreated. The patterns, the textures, the energy—they exist only once.

That impermanence is part of the story.

More Than Wine, Cocktails, or Spirits

My work has always been about connection.

Wine, whiskey, and shared experiences are simply the starting point. What matters most is what they represent—the conversations, the laughter, the quiet reflections, and the people we share them with.

This series is an extension of that philosophy.

A reminder that sometimes, it’s not the moment itself that stays with us—but the feeling surrounding it.

Before the Sip, After the Pour

There’s a moment—just before the glass is lifted—where everything is still.

And another, just after, where the experience begins to settle in.

This series lives in that space.

A One-of-a-Kind Collection – Wine Art Collection

Because I created these pieces through movement and instinct, I cannot reproduce them.

They are not available as prints.
Are not meant to be replicated.

They exist as a single, complete collection—one idea, brought to life once.

An Invitation

If my work has ever resonated with you, I hope this series invites you to pause for a moment.

To reflect.

To remember.

And maybe even to see your own experiences from a new perspective.

Because life isn’t just a series of events—

It’s a celebration of the meaningful moments in between.

Cheers 🍷
Monica
