Lucky 7s II – The Farm in Gold | 7Cellars Wine Art
Lucky 7s II – The Farm in Gold belongs to Monica’s Lucky 7s series of 7Cellars wine art. Here, a golden Farm Collection bottle stands front and center, its bold white 7 glowing against vertical streams of color. Two darker bottles recede into the background, creating depth and a sense of quiet motion. Monica builds the main bottle with layered acrylic pours, then sharpens the label, reflections, and blurred bottles in oils.

Lucky 7s II – The Farm in Gold — 7Cellars Wine Art in Full Glow
Lucky 7s II – The Farm in Gold captures a Farm Collection bottle at its most luminous. A tall, yellow-gold 7Cellars bottle fills the center of the canvas. Its white “7” logo cuts cleanly through flowing greens and golds that run down the glass. Behind it, two darker bottles fade into soft focus, adding contrast and reinforcing the idea of “one bottle in the spotlight.”
Because the composition pushes the main bottle so close to the viewer, the painting feels bold and contemporary. You see the label first, then you notice the subtle lines of color and the reflections that play across the glass. The blurred bar-like background suggests a tasting room or restaurant, yet it stays abstract enough for you to imagine your own setting.
Why Collectors Love This Piece
-
Highlights 7Cellars’ Farm Collection with a strong graphic “7” at center.
-
Golden pours and cool background tones create a rich, modern color palette.
-
Serves as the “bright” counterpart to Lucky 7s I and Elway’s Reserve Reflections.
-
Hybrid Fluid Realism adds movement and depth to what could have been a static bottle.
-
Perfect for wine rooms, home bars, and spaces that lean toward bold design.
-
Connects to Colorado through the number 7 and John Elway’s story while still reading as pure wine art.
Story Behind the Painting
The Lucky 7s series started when Monica noticed three 7Cellars bottles lined up on a table. The repeating 7–7–7 jumped out at her and immediately felt like a visual metaphor for 7Cellars itself: a winery born from John Elway’s number, his restaurants, and his partnership with winemaker Rob Mondavi Jr.
For Lucky 7s II, she focused on a single Farm Collection bottle and let it dominate the frame. The Farm Collection pays homage to Elway’s alma mater, Stanford University, often called “The Farm,” and a portion of bottle sales supports Team Rubicon’s work with veterans. Monica loved how this backstory linked California vineyards, Colorado sports history, and philanthropy. She wanted the painting to feel worthy of that story—bright, generous, and confident.
She poured acrylics down the shape of the bottle until the surface looked like sunlight sliding over glass. Then she added the crisp white “7,” cleaned up the label edges, and softened the background bottles so the eye always returns to the central figure.
This artwork is an original artistic representation inspired by 7Cellars wines. It does not represent sponsorship, endorsement, or official affiliation with 7Cellars, John Elway, or any related companies. All trademarks and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.
Technique & Style — Hybrid Fluid Realism
Monica’s Hybrid Fluid Realism plays a starring role in Lucky 7s II. She begins by masking the basic silhouette of the Farm Collection bottle. Over that area, she pours and tilts acrylic paint in gold, green, and subtle amber tones. These pours create organic, vertical flows that echo the movement of wine and the streaks of light you might see in a dim bar.
Once the pours dry, she switches to oils. With a smaller brush, she sharpens the white “7,” defines the Farm Collection text, and lays in precise highlights along the glass curves. Meanwhile, the bottles in the background receive only enough detail to stay recognizable. Soft edges and muted colors keep them supporting the composition rather than competing with it.
Because of this push-and-pull between poured energy and oil precision, the bottle feels alive, almost like a portrait rather than an object.
Where This Artwork Belongs
Lucky 7s II – The Farm in Gold belongs in spaces that celebrate wine, color, and bold design choices.
-
In a wine cellar or tasting room near your 7Cellars or California selections
-
Above a bar cart or console where you display Farm Collection bottles and glassware
-
In a contemporary living room with strong accent colors and clean lines
-
In a home office or den for Colorado fans who appreciate both art and wine
-
At restaurants, steakhouses, or wine bars that pour 7Cellars wines or similar California blends
When you hang it alongside Lucky 7s I and Elway’s Reserve Reflections, the trio creates a powerful visual narrative: blue Farm, golden Farm, and dark Elway’s Reserve—three facets of the same winery story.
Emotional / Luxury Wrap-Up
Ultimately, Lucky 7s II – The Farm in Gold is about confidence and brightness. It translates the approachable, everyday-luxury spirit of The Farm Collection—Chardonnay, Cabernet, and Pinot Noir—into a single glowing bottle.
The painting invites you to see a familiar label in a new way. Instead of just a bottle on a table, you get a vertical beam of color, a bold number, and a hint of the bigger story behind the brand. For collectors who know 7Cellars or who simply love graphic, wine-inspired art, this piece becomes a daily reminder that some numbers, like some wines, carry more meaning than others.
