This website is owned and operated by Monica Fine Art (MMG Art Studio LTD (“MMG”, “I”, “me”, “us”, “my site”, “this site”, “the website”, “we” and “our”). Your privacy and trust are very important to me.

I feel this Privacy Policy is common sense, and treats your information like how I want my information to be treated. Still I am required to spell this out (lawyers made me do it – hehe – but seriously), carefully read and understand what we do and how we treat information collected about you through the Website. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how MMG collects, uses, and shares information that is collected about you through my website, https://monicafineart.us/  –  Privacy Policy is to inform the user (you) about the data gathered, while the Terms and Conditions (also called T&C, Terms of Service or ToS) include the legal terms and rules that bind the customer to my business.

 

++ DATA PRIVACY & YOUR INFORMATION

This site collects “personal” information from you when you provide it to us. For example, if you purchase artwork, we collect your name, mailing/billing address, telephone number, email address, credit card number and financial information (solely for payment purposes). If purchasing an original piece of art work, I use some of this to produce and provide you the certificate of Authenticity.

 

If you sign up to receive a newsletter, we will collect your email address.

 

What We Do with That Information

MMG Art Studio protects your privacy. The personal information that you give us when you place an order is used to process and fulfill your order. Under no circumstances do we rent, trade or share your e-mail address with any other company for their marketing purposes or for any reason. I too wish more companies would do this too.

Personal Information. We use Personal Information primarily for our own business purposes, such as providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving the Website and the services offered through the website, fulfilling requests for information, producing and shipping the products that you order, and providing customer support. For example, if you create an account with us, we will use the information that you provide us to communicate with you. Similarly, if you sign up to subscribe to a newsletter, we will use the email address you provide to send you the newsletters.

 

We use your personal information for internal purposes such as processing and keeping you informed of your order. Also internal purposes includes providing customer support or providing, maintaining, evaluating and improving our products and services. I partner with one or more credit card processing companies to assist me in processing your payment. However, those companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

 

You may, from time to time, receive information from us about new features, new services and special offers we think you’ll find valuable.

 

We may need to disclose your personal information when required by law or when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process. I still have never had an instance, when buying my art led to this but who knows. One day my art may be worth millions… ok, back to today…

This information aids us in developing the design and layout of the website to give our users the best web experience possible.

 

Internet Advertising.  We may use third party service providers to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet and sometimes on the Website. They may collect anonymous information about your visits to our Website, and your interaction with our products and services. (Facebook Pixel) They may also use information about your visits to this and other websites to target advertisements for goods and services.  An EXAMPLE, if you are on Facebook and you click though a post, or even an add, that would fit the above description.

 

Google Analytics. Information is also collected through Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the Website. The Google Analytics tool uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. SECURITY

We have partnered with PayPal and Stripe and both have set standards for security of online ecommerce transactions. You can read more about PayPal’s security measures at PayPal.com

 

This whole site is SSL encrypted to ensure the connection for all transactions are secure.

The hosting company we use takes security measures to protect this site. Nothing though is 100% safe on the internet. Still however there are far easier prey out there for hackers to focus on. Double authentication for site admin log in, and TOOLS such as backup Buddy, and Security scans with iThemes ensures this site is up to date and not vulnerable to known and easy exploits. Shop with confidence your purchase and your data are secure.

EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force on the 25th May 2018

So, let’s cover what’s changes were required to be made.

  1. Tell the user who you are, what data you collect, why you collect the data, for how long you retain it and which third parties receive it (if any)

  7. According to Google Analytics Team (they sent an email to all account holders on April 11th 2018):
    • GDPR completed actions on account even for users not based in the European Economic Area (EEA)
    • They introduced granular data retention controls that defines how long your user and event data is held on servers. Google Analytics will automatically delete user and event data that is older than 30 day retention period
    • Google Analytics also introduced a new user deletion tool that allows MMG to delete all data associated with an individual user (e.g. site visitor) from your Google Analytics properties
    • Google Analytics remain committed to providing features for customizable cookie settings, privacy controls, data sharing settings, data deletion on account termination, and IP anonymization
    • They updated their policies as Data Processors
  8. Breach notifications
    • ​if MMG website experiences a data breach, we will immediately communicated to those users affected by the breach. A notification will be sent within 72 hours.What’s a data breach by the way?  Well, this occurs when personal information is passed to:
      • an unauthorized data processor or subcontractor
        • a non-GDPR compliant body
        • a third party without the knowledge of the data subject
        • a hacker

On top of this, we have developed a security data breach response plan and process in place to address a breach.
