The creation of your custom painting typically requires 3 to 4 weeks from the moment we finalize the design and details. To ensure timely delivery for the festive season, I begin scheduling commissions in October for completion before Christmas. Rest assured, I provide upfront estimates and consistently meet the projected timelines. Should you need your painting expedited, please reach out to discuss the specifics, and I will accommodate rush orders on an individual basis.
Is there a down payment or do I just pay at the end?
To initiate the creation of your painting, I typically request a 20% down payment after we have agreed on the composition and dimensions. This good faith payment secures your slot and allows me to start sourcing materials with confidence. My experience has shown that this process works smoothly, but I am open to discussion if you have any concerns or special circumstances.
How is shipping handeled?
- Shipping within the United States and Canada is conveniently included in the purchase price of your painting. For international destinations, I am happy to share the shipping costs with you, which will be detailed in your proposal. With a track record of successful global deliveries, your artwork’s safe arrival is my priority, which is why I ship with insurance for added peace of mind. While I primarily use FedEx and USPS for shipping, I’m open to accommodating special requests to ensure your painting arrives as you need it to.
Do you have a revision policy?
My approach to creating your painting is highly collaborative and communicative, aimed at understanding and capturing your vision from the outset. While I don’t have a formal revision policy, I ensure regular updates and discussions throughout the process to align with your expectations. There is a designated point in the creation process beyond which changes can no longer be made, and I will inform you well in advance when we reach this cut-off for alterations. My goal is always to deliver a piece that meets your satisfaction without the need for subsequent revisions.
Do you paint portraits of people?
The general answer is no, but if you have a special need or request. Let’s talk. Being up front, I do not enjoy painting portraits so have moved away from this theme in my paintings.
